Kai Iwi Lakes, New Zealand

While tourist favourite Lake Taupo is beautiful, these three crystal-clear lakes, surrounded by perfectly white sand and fringed with fragrant pine forests, are just as easy on the eyes and not half as covered in travellers’ footprints.
